Atheist groups around the world are gearing up for 2009, to celebrate Charles Darwin's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of his book Origin of Species-a book that has caused millions to doubt the authority of Scripture. To prepare for the inevitable barrage of evolutionary propaganda throughout 2009, Creation Ministries International (CMI) Canada (in conjunction with CMI worldwide) has launched its own national campaign: 'Deconstructing Darwin.' These conferences, happening all over the country, are designed specifically to equip Christians with answers to questions that skeptics pose to refute the authority of scripture and attack the Christian faith.

The Calendar of Events are now all posted. These include field trips, activities, monthly teen nights and monthly recital teas. To get in contact with the organizer of the event, please use your up-to-date membership list or go through the e-group.

You must be a paid member to attend all events. Please download the membership form if you wish to become a member and mail it to the indicated contact person. Thank you.

Field Trips and Activities

The field trips for CHEN are in the process of being posted to the calendar.

I have finished posting all the CHEN activities to the calendar.

I will be providing a separate calendar for the Friday Homeschooling Group as well.

Also, the field trip co-ordinator is not attached to the calendar event. I may try to include that later but it is space-challenged. The best thing is to check your newsletter for the person in charge of the field trip. If you do not have a copy you can contact Candis through the e-group or at a email her.

Membership Fee Benefits

The $10 CHEN membership fee covers:
1) Local library room rental for two meetings.
2) OCHEC membership which gives us the HSLDA discount as well as the OCHEC conference discount.
3) e-group membership
4) participation in CHEN sponsored sports and field trips.

Field Trips

All field trips will be scheduled on this sites calendar link for the upcoming 2008-2009 school year. Please check back soon for our scheduled events if they are not yet posted.

CHEN Field trips are only available to CHEN members. We are aiming as a leadership team to have all bookings of field trips done online (except of course for those who are not internet connected). When making a booking online contact the person designated for that specific trip and then mail the cheque to that person.

In your email please include:
1. Name
2. Phone number.
2. How many adults attending.
4. How many children attending & their ages.
5. Total amount of cheque.

When your email is received, you will get a return email verifying whether the trip is still available and that you are on the list. Then you can send out your cheque payable to the designated person for that trip.

Please be advised that there are NO refunds after the designated date. Your payment is transferrable to someone else. This is your responsibility.
